Career Planning Program

The first step in the career development process is self-assessment.  Self-assessment can be done online utilizing the DISCOVER program.

With DISCOVER you can:

• Start planning your future
• Learn more about yourself
• Explore occupations
• Select a career direction and identify a college major
• and more...

Steps to Using DISCOVER:

1. Obtain a User ID from the Career Services Center. 
2. Log on to Discover and enter your User ID and password.
3. Select the "Inventories" tab and complete the Interest, Abilities and Values Inventory.
4. The "Inventories Summary" lists suggested career areas.
5. Gather information about work tasks, related occupations, training, salary and more.
