In the event of a fire on campus:

  • Activate the fire alarm system for that building.
  • Evacuate the adjoining building.
    • Notify the fire department as soon as possible.
    • Keep everyone away from the building, until the all clear has been given.
      • Use the same locations for evacuations that are used for bomb threats, etc.
      • Keep everyone at least 100 feet from the buildings in question.
      • Keep the fire lanes open for emergency vehicles.

  • We will use the same procedure for fire drills as we do for bomb threat evacuations.
    • Activate the call list.
