The "Taking the Next Stpes" guide is an excellent, comprehensive resource on transitioning to higher education. It explains in deatil what you need to do to have a successful transition to higher education.

Opening Doors to Postsecondary Education and Training Planning for Life After High School: A Guide for Students, School Counselors, Teachers, Parents. Developed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. This is an excellent handbook for students, parents and teachers on preparing and planning for the postsecondary experience. It includes wonderful checklists and information on what to expect, how to prepare and plan for postsecondary education.
