Learn About Your Financial Options
The Financial Aid Office at SMCC is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible students from federal, state, institutional, and private sources of funding. The office also provides information to families about sources of funding, application procedures, and advice on financial and budgeting issues. Students interested in any financial aid must first apply electronically through the FAFSA process.
Financial assistance may be provided in the form of grants, scholarship, loans, and employment offered singularly or in some combination, depending upon the level of financial need, and various eligibility criteria.
ATTENTION:
Only those with a lawful presence in the U.S. may qualify for MCCCD scholarships or federal financial aid. Any information you provide about your legal status when you apply for financial aid or scholarships may be subject to mandatory reporting to the federal immigration authorities under Arizona law. This does not apply to application for the private scholarship funds held and distributed by the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation. For information on applying for private scholarships, please visit: www.maricopa.edu/foundation/apply/index.php
