It’s easy to enroll in classes at South Mountain Community College. In fact, you’ll find six different registration options from which to choose. Along with the multiple registration options, you’ll find helpful links such as admissions requirements, records, financial aid, and tuition to get you started off on the right foot.
Like we said, enrolling is the easy part. But with all the great courses we have to offer, choosing one is an entirely different story.
Please follow the procedure listed below for each option to ensure that your registration will be complete and correct.
You may submit your registration for classes on-line. If you are new to South Mountain Community College you must follow these steps:
- read the instructions for admissions (how to access and fill out a Student Information Form)
- fill out and submit the on-line Student Information Form
- read the instructions about on-line registration
- fill out and submit the on-line registration form
If you are not new to South Mountain Community College you must follow these steps:

- Online registration is available 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

3. Operator Assisted

- Students may register and change their class schedules by telephone. Restrictions may apply.
- Students who are requesting registration for courses that require prerequisites must have the prerequisites on file prior to registration.
- Payment by credit card is preferred when registering by telephone. Credit cards accepted are VISA, AMEX, MasterCard, and/or Discover.

Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
4. FAX (602) 243-8199
- Students may FAX their registration to our office for processing.
- Provide name, student ID number, address, telephone numbers (home and work), prefix and section number of the course(s) you are requesting.
- Verification (transcript, grade report) of prerequisites completed faxed with registration.
- Call the Business Services Office at 602-305-5627 or log on to our website and pay on-line.
5. Mail

Please include your name, social security number, address, telephone numbers (work and home) where you can be reached and the courses you are selecting. If you are new to South Mountain Community College you will be required to complete the Student Information Form before you can register for classes.
6. Touch-Tone Registration
For Continuing and Former Students
The touch-tone system is available seven (7) days a week 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Call 480-731-8255. For SMCC, press 07.
- Use only a touch-tone phone to make entries.
- A voice response will guide you through the registration/payment steps.
- The touch-tone system will take credit card payments on-line. Please have your number ready (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover).
- Click on ADMISSIONS to complete your Student Information Form.
- Enter your Social Security Number for the Student Identification Number. If you choose not to use your Social Security Number, please contact our operator assisted registration at 602-243-8123 to process the form for you.
- Select the semester that you wish to begin your studies.
- Spring semester is generally for classes beginning in January
- Summer I semester is generally for classes beginning in June
- Summer II semester is generally for classes beginning in July
- Fall semester is generally for classes beginning in August
Press Continue and complete form.
Press SUBMIT at the end of form when complete.
You are now eligible to register for classes.
