Community Patron Information:

Enrolled students have computer access priority in the Commons.  South Mountain Community College is the only Maricopa Community College campus offering community access at no charge. 

Access to computers during non-Summer hours for community patrons are Monday-Thursday after 2pm, and all day Fridays and Saturdays.  For Summer hours, we are closed Fridays and Saturdays.

Beginning April 13, 2009, the Library and Commons will be requiring new login procedures for all student and community computer access.  Students and the community will need an MEID (Maricopa Enterprise ID) login number to access a computer.  This new login procedure will eliminate the need for Social Security number login.  All students are issued an MEID; community patrons will need to register at the Library or Commons counter for an MEID.  For more information, please ask a staff at the counter.

No one under the age of 18 are allowed in the Commons (TC242) due to District policies (see next page link).  Only those 18 years old or younger who are enrolled in the SMCC Charter High School and are in an approved Maricopa Community College Program of Study (ie ACE, etc) are the exceptions.  SMCC's library may accomodate those who are under 18 years old.

All community patrons, as do enrolled students, must receive a User Orientation before using a Commons computer.  The Orientation outlines User Guidelines and Policies.
